FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How will I know if working with you is right for me?
The best way to know is through an initial Discovery Call.
I will not be persuading you into coaching on the call. It is a chance for us to explore what is going on for you, what you want to change, and whether my approach is the right fit.
If we both feel there is a strong fit, I will talk you through the most appropriate next step.
What kind of coaching do you offer?
I offer transformational, identity-based coaching.
That means we are not just looking at what you are doing. We are looking at who you believe you have to be, what patterns you are operating from, and what hidden assumptions may be shaping your decisions, confidence, relationships, work, wellbeing, and sense of possibility.
This is deep, practical work. It is not surface-level motivation or a nice chat with a notebook. We work with what is actually going on underneath, so that you can shift your thinking, understand yourself more clearly, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
What does identity-based coaching mean?
Identity-based coaching looks beneath the immediate issue and explores the deeper patterns that may be driving it.
You might come to coaching because you are struggling with a decision, feeling stuck, doubting yourself, people-pleasing, feeling resentful, navigating change, or sensing that something in your life no longer fits.
We will look at the beliefs, assumptions, emotional patterns, protective strategies, and old identities that may be shaping how you think, feel, decide, and act.
The aim is not simply to solve one surface problem. The aim is to help you understand the deeper pattern, so that meaningful change becomes possible.
Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on before booking?
No.
You do not need to arrive with a perfectly articulated “problem”. In fact, most people arrive with a tangle of thoughts, feelings, frustrations, and half-formed realisations.
That is fine. Part of my role is to help you untangle it.
You only need to come with honesty, openness, and a willingness to look beneath the obvious answer.
Who do you usually work with?
I most often work with successful women who are navigating a period of change, be it desired or unexpected. Life changes can leave us fearful, resentful, uncertain of what comes next and lacking confidence in ourself, our future, our abilities and our decisions. Many women will reach a point in life where the old way of doing things no longer fits.
They may be navigating a career shift, a change in identity, a new chapter, a relationship crossroads, burnout, loss of confidence, or the quiet realisation that they want more from life than simply keeping everything going.
Many of my clients are used to being responsible, capable, and needed. On the outside, they may look successful. On the inside, they may feel stuck, stressed, restless, resentful, uncertain, or disconnected from themselves.
Although much of my work naturally attracts women at significant life crossroads, I also work with men and with people at different ages and stages where the fit is right.
The common thread is not gender or age. It is readiness for honest reflection, deeper self-awareness, and meaningful change.
What kinds of things can coaching help with?
Clients often come to coaching when they are navigating:
-
a major life or identity transition
-
self-doubt or loss of confidence
-
feeling invisible, irrelevant, or undervalued
-
overthinking and second-guessing
-
people-pleasing and guilt
-
difficulty prioritising themselves
-
feeling stuck despite being capable
-
wanting change but not knowing where to begin
-
patterns in relationships, work, leadership, or business
-
the sense that “there has to be more than this”
The work is not about fixing you. You are not broken.
It is about seeing the operating system you have been living from — and deciding whether it still fits.
What can I expect from you as my coach?
You can expect me to be direct, thoughtful, honest, and deeply invested in your growth.
I will listen carefully, ask questions that help you see what you may not yet be able to see, and reflect back patterns with clarity and compassion.
There will be warmth, but there will also be gentle challenge. That is usually where the shift happens.
Will you tell me what to do?
No.
I may offer reflections, challenge, perspective, and direct feedback. But I am not here to hand you a life plan as though I know your life better than you do.
My role is to help you access clearer thinking, deeper self-trust, and more honest decision-making.
The goal is not dependence on me. The goal is a stronger, more self-led relationship with yourself.
Is this coaching or therapy?
Coaching and therapy can both create powerful insight, but they are not the same.
Therapy is usually focused on diagnosis, treatment, healing trauma, or supporting mental health. Coaching is focused on awareness, personal growth, identity, choices, and forward movement.
My coaching can feel therapeutic because it creates space for honest reflection, emotional insight, and deeper self-understanding. However, it is not therapy and should not be used as a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, medical care, or mental health treatment.
We may explore what has shaped you, but the purpose is to help you understand how those patterns are affecting your life now — and how you want to move forward.
What happens after I book?
Once you book, you will receive the relevant details for your coaching, including any preparation questions, forms, or access information.
You may be asked to reflect on what is currently feeling most alive, stuck, unclear, or significant for you. This helps us use our time together well.
You will also receive clear instructions about how to access your private client space, where you can find the information you need, book appointments, and track your progress.
Can I contact you between sessions?
Where inter-session support is included, you will be able to contact me between sessions via WhatsApp and/or your private client portal.
The level of support available will depend on the coaching agreement we have in place.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens.
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible. I will always do my best to accommodate changes, diary permitting.
If you need to reschedule, please contact me as soon as you can. Missed sessions or cancellations at short notice may not be refundable, depending on the terms agreed at booking.
Is everything confidential?
Yes.
What you share in private coaching is treated as confidential, with the usual UK legal and safeguarding exceptions.
Confidentiality matters because this work requires honesty. You need to be able to say what is really going on, not just the polished version that sounds acceptable over coffee.
Do you offer refunds or a money-back guarantee?
Because this is personal coaching and transformational work, I do not offer a blanket money-back guarantee.
However, I do want you to make an informed decision before committing. That is why the Discovery Call matters. We will discuss the fit, the format, and the expectations before you book.
Once you have booked and paid, the cancellation and rescheduling terms will apply.
How do I take the next step?
The next step is to book a Discovery Call.
We will talk through where you are, what is not working, what you want to change, and whether coaching with me feels like the right fit.
You do not need to have it all worked out before you book. You just need to be willing to have an honest conversation.
